In the table of best-selling MPVs in Feb 2026, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga stood on top ahead of Toyota Innova range, Kia Carens and Maruti Suzuki XL6
The MPV space has been enduring positive sales numbers in recent times courtesy of established nameplates and the scenario stayed the same in the month of February 2026. The total segment sales rose to 42,482 units from 34,556 units during this period with a 22.9 per cent year-on-year gain showing that practical family movers continue to see takers across different price points.
From budget three-row options to premium people carriers, the segment registered growth in most corners. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga stayed put as the apparent leader of the pack last month. The Ertiga recorded 17,807 units in February 2026 as against 14,868 units in the same month last year – posting a 19.8 per cent increase.
It also held a commanding 41.9 per cent share of the MPV segment which meant that nearly one in every two MPVs sold in the country was an Ertiga. Toyota secured second place with the combined Innova Hycross and Innova Crysta tally of 8,703 units. Compared to 8,449 units in February 2025, the sales saw a 3.0 per cent improvement.

The Innova duo accounted for 20.5 per cent of the segment share as they lure in consumers looking for a more premium and established MPV choice with a strong brand pull. The Kia Carens and Carens Clavis EV together finished third with 6,815 units last month – up from 5,318 units a year earlier and the duo saw their range expanded recently with the inclusion of new variants including X-Line and GT Line.
The volume sales last month resulted in a 28.1 per cent growth and gave Kia a 16.0 per cent segment share. The Maruti Suzuki XL6 also turned in an impressive performance – jumping to 3,633 units from 1,878 units and registering a 93.5 per cent year-on-year rise as its share stood at 8.6 per cent.
The Renault Triber continued to hold its ground in the affordable end of the market. It managed 2,419 units in February 2026 compared to 1,545 units during the corresponding period twelve months ago with a 56.6 per cent increase. The Toyota Rumion was not far behind with 2,817 units – up from 2,099 units and recorded a 34.2 per cent rise.
At the top-end of the market, the Toyota Vellfire posted 145 units against just 19 units in the same month last year – resulting in a massive 663.2 per cent jump. On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki Invicto, the rebadged version of the Innova Hycross, saw sales decline to 143 units from 380 units – down 62.4 per cent year-on-year.
