Hyundai Creta tops the combined sales chart ahead of Victoris and Seltos while Duster makes its first appearance after returning to the market
The Hyundai Creta finished as the most sold midsize SUV in India over the last three months recording combined sales of 48,364 units between March and May 2026. The SUV stayed ahead of the rest of the field crossing the 15,000 units in each of the three months. The Maruti Suzuki Victoris secured second position with a cumulative tally of 35,616 units.
The SUV posted its highest monthly figure in April at 13,701 units before settling at 10,853 units in May. The Kia Seltos completed the top three after registering 32,204 units across the same period – maintaining a consistent monthly performance above 10,000 units each month. The Toyota Hyryder occupied fourth place with a total of 27,985 units.
Meanwhile, its sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara ended the three-month period with 23,830 units as the Victoris has certainly eaten into its volumes. The Grand Vitara closed the gap during May after recording a noticeable monthly figure of 9,366 units. The recently launched ICE Tata Sierra collected 22,925 units between March and May.

The SUV started the period with 9,003 units before recording 7,316 units in April and 6,606 units in May. Even with the monthly decline, Sierra stayed inside the top six cumulative standings as the return of the nameplate has been well received by consumers. Among the remaining models, the Skoda Kushaq accumulated 5,468 units – narrowly edging past the recently introduced Renault Duster.
It recorded 5,028 units despite entering the market only during this period. The Duster posted 1,402 units in March, improved to 2,359 units in April and finished May with 1,267 units. The Tata Curvv managed a total of 4,685 units as 1,680 units last month was its highest total when the April to June 2026 period was compared.

The Volkswagen Taigun rounded off the table with 3,732 units as the SUV moved from 908 units in March to 1,543 units in April before ending May at 1,281 units. The combined figures show the dominance of Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki and Kia in the midsize SUV segment while Toyota retained a strong foothold through the Hyryder. The Tata Sierra also continued to post healthy volumes whereas Renault Duster has only begun its journey after returning to the market.
