2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift gets a host of revisions inside and out along with the addition of a new eight-speed automatic transmission
The facelifted Skoda Kushaq has finally entered the domestic market as its prices have been announced today. Priced between Rs 10.69 lakh and Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the five-seater has been made available in five variants namely Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. Its customer deliveries will commence soon in India.
The front end comes with redesigned LED headlamps and new LED daytime running light signatures connected through segmented lighting elements. Skoda has also revised the grille and reshaped the bumper with sharper surfaces and metallic inserts. Around the back, the SUV receives updated split LED tail lamps along with illuminated lettering on the tailgate, giving it a more premium and modern look.
Inside the cabin, the facelift brings in multiple enhancements. The higher-spec Prestige and Monte Carlo variants now feature a larger fully digital instrument cluster and an updated infotainment touchscreen with Google-based assistant functionality. Skoda has also equipped the upper trims with ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable front seats, a panoramic sunroof and an upgraded sound system complete with a subwoofer.

Mechanically, the facelifted Kushaq continues with its existing turbo petrol engine choices. Buyers can still opt for either the 1.0-litre TSI or the 1.5-litre TSI engine but the gearbox combinations have now been revised. The 1.0-litre unit is available with a six-speed manual and a newly introduced eight-speed torque converter automatic while the 1.5-litre engine remains paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Skoda has also added rear disc brakes to the 1.5-litre version for better braking performance. Safety equipment has been kept fairly comprehensive with six airbags offered as standard across the range. Other features include a rear parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system and an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror. However, the 360-degree camera and ADAS are glaring omissions.
The updated SUV continues to be based on the highly localised MQB A0 IN platform and is being manufactured at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s Chakan facility near Pune. With production already underway, the facelifted Kushaq will stay put rivalling Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Renault Duster and Tata Sierra.
