Next-gen Hyundai Creta is expected to make its world debut before the end of this year before going on sale in markets including India
New spy footage from Manali has placed the upcoming third generation Creta directly beside the current model giving an apparent indication yet of how much larger the SUV is set to become. The test vehicle, heavily camouflaged but carrying production intent bodywork, was first seen travelling alongside a pair of Maruti Jimnys before eventually stopping next to an existing Creta.
With both vehicles positioned almost nose to nose, the size difference becomes immediately noticeable. Even without accounting for the temporary equipment mounted at the rear of the test mule, the new Creta appears visibly longer than the SUV currently sold in showrooms. The roofline stretches further back while the overall body proportions appear more substantial.
Speculations indicate the next generation Creta could measure close to 4.5 metres in length. It would represent a sizeable increase over the existing model which stands at 4.33 metres. The extra length is expected to come through Hyundai new K3 architecture. The architecture itself is a major part of the project as dynamic abilities could also be improved.

The modular K3 platform has been developed to accommodate multiple propulsion technologies including hybrid and electric systems. The longer wheelbase supported by this platform is expected to create additional legroom across both seating rows while luggage capacity could rise. Previous test sightings have already revealed Hyundai’s Pleos Connect interface.
The interior could receive a more upscale dashboard and centre console while new equipment and technologies could also be introduced. The Creta is already a feature-packed midsize SUV and the next-gen could elevate its appeal further. It is also expected to get a 1.5L petrol engine working in tandem an electric motor to form a hybrid system capable of electric-only mode to conserve fuel.

Reports also point towards the possibility of all-wheel-drive technology and a multi-link rear suspension setup on select variants. A global debut will more likely be possible towards the end of 2026 while its market launch in India could happen early next year.
