2026 Tata Tiago range gets a plethora of updates inside and out while a new battery pack and a paddle shifter in CNG are other possibilities
Tata Motors is set to reveal prices for the 2026 Tiago range on May 28 covering all three powertrain versions – petrol, factory fitted CNG and electric – in a single event. The facelift brings the most comprehensive update the Tiago has received since the current generation launched with changes to the exterior, cabin, technology and powertrain lineup.
The exterior gets new LED headlamps with a revised light signature, a redesigned front grille and a new bumper giving the petrol and CNG versions a sharper face than the outgoing model. The Tiago EV takes a different direction up front with a closed-off body coloured fascia, a smaller air dam with vertical slats and no fog lamps.
Both get new dual tone alloy wheel designs, wheel arch cladding and revised LED tail lamps with updated bumper treatments at the rear. The cabin has been substantially reworked. A wide landscape oriented freestanding infotainment display on the dashboard alongside a floating digital instrument cluster on the right. A two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, revised centre console, engine start/stop button, Type-C fast charging port and wireless charging pad are all part of the updated interior.

Rear AC vents feature across the range as well. The CNG variant adds paddle shifters to the steering wheel – a segment first feature. A rotary gear knob replaces the conventional lever on the CNG AMT following the format introduced on other Tata models. Dual tone grey and black upholstery and a 360 degree camera are among the other additions on the CNG version.
For the Tiago EV, the 19 kWh entry battery is expected to exit the range with the 24 kWh pack becoming the new base option. A 30 kWh battery at the top of the range is likely with improved range. The i-Drive motor from the Punch EV is also expected to be carried over. As for the regular model, the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol will continue to make 86 hp and 113 Nm – linked with 5 speed manual and AMT options.

The dual-cylinder factory fitted CNG setup returns at 75.5 hp and 96.5 Nm. Pricing for the petrol facelift is expected from approximately Rs 5.20 lakh ex-showroom with the Tiago EV facelift anticipated from around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
