2026 Honda City facelift gets a reworked exterior and interior while no mechanical changes have been made

Honda Cars India launched the 2026 City facelift last week alongside showcasing the ZR-V with the sedan priced from Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom) across four variants – SV, V, ZX and ZX+. The top spec ZX+ is exclusively offered with the e:HEV hybrid powertrain while the first three variants get the 1.5 litre i-VTEC naturally aspirated petrol mill producing 121 hp and 145 Nm.

It is available with a six speed manual or CVT. The hybrid system on the ZX+ produces 126 hp and 253 Nm through an e-CVT and it comes with a claimed mileage of just over 27 kmpl. A total of six colour options have been presented namely Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl. The City competes with the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia.

SV – Base Variant (Rs. 12 lakh (MT only))

Compared to the old model, Honda did not increase the price and the base variant is packed with features such as LED headlamps, LED DRLs and LED tail lamps, blacked out grille, body coloured door handles, ORVMs and shark fin antenna, 15-inch steel wheels with covers, beige and black upholstery, Piano Black inserts, 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four speakers and steering mounted controls.

Other highlights are USB Type-A and Type-C ports at front and rear, six airbags, ABS with EBD, VSA, AHA, BA and TCS, lowline TPMS, automatic headlamps, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, tilt and telescopic steering, height adjustable driver seat, front armrest with storage, rear armrest with cupholders and a 4.2 inch colour MID.

V – Mid Variant (Rs. 13.30 lakh (MT) & Rs. 14.30 lakh (CVT))

In addition to everything from SV, the V grade gains clear lens LED tail lamps with gloss black tailgate insert, 15-inch multi spoke grey alloy wheels, Honda Connect telematics, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Honda Sensing ADAS and keyless entry are available in this mid-level trim with CVT customers additionally getting remote engine start and paddle shifters.

ZX – Upper Mid Variant (Rs. 15.26 lakh (MT) & Rs. 16.26 lakh (CVT))

Everything from V plus connected LED light bar at the front, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, black inserts for front and rear bumpers, electric sunroof, ivory and black dual tone upholstery, black and chrome inserts throughout, ambient lighting, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen, eight-speaker audio system, LaneWatch camera, auto dimming IRVM, rain sensing wipers, wireless charger and rear sunshade form a strong second to top variant.

ZX+ – Top Variant (Rs. 16.15 lakh (MT), Rs. 17.15 lakh (CVT) & Rs. 21 lakh (e-CVT))

The range-topping ZX plus is packed with equipment such as trunk lip spoiler, 360 degree camera, ventilated front seats, 7 inch TFT MID with digital speedometer, EV drive mode, all wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake, auto hold function, AVAS, auto engine start stop and paddle shifters for regeneration modes in addition to whatever found in the ZX.
