Yamaha posted a total of just over 67,000 units in February 2026 as against 50,498 units with a YoY sales increase of close to 33 per cent

India Yamaha Motor reported a performance which was good enough to position it seventh with a total of just over 67,000 units in February 2026 as against 50,498 units during the same period last year with a YoY sales increase of close to 33 per cent. Key products like RayZR and FZ continued to drive volumes while some premium and scooter offerings saw fluctuations.

The RayZR emerged as the top contributor for the Japanese auto major by registering a domestic tally of 22,593 units in February 2026 with a notable 61 per cent YoY growth as 14,010 units were recorded. It also posted a healthy 14 per cent increase over January showing good demand in the entry-level scooter segment.

The FZ range followed with 16,852 units last month by registering an impressive 76 per cent YoY growth. Meanwhile, the month-on-month performance was equally good with a 35 per cent rise as 12,477 units were posted in the previous month of January 2026 – making it one of the brand’s best-performing motorcycles during the period.

The R15 maintained consistent momentum by clocking 9,246 units and growing 29 per cent YoY. It also improved by 11 per cent MoM enabling a decent demand in the entry-level performance category. Meanwhile, the MT-15 saw flat growth at 1 per cent YoY as 9,630 units were garnered while declining 13 per cent on an MoM basis.

In the scooter department, the Fascino reported 5,798 units – down 27 per cent YoY. However, it managed a marginal 2 per cent MoM growth. The Aerox 155 posted 1,938 units declining 13 per cent YoY as 2,220 units were managed in February 2025 and dropping sharply by 32 per cent compared to January.

The Yamaha XSR 155 recorded 924 units in February 2026. While YoY comparison remains negligible, it witnessed a steep 77 per cent decline MoM as 4,087 units were posted in the previous month. The neo-retro roadster is based on the same platform as the R15 and MT15 and is powered by the 155 cc liquid-cooled engine with VVA technology.
