TVS Clocks Record 5.9 Million Units In FY26; EV Sales Up 44% In March

The surge in volumes across categories helped TVS Motor Company finish up FY2025–26 on a historic note with it delivering its best annual performance till date. For the full financial year, overall dispatches reached a total of 5.9 million units with a massive 24 per cent increase compared to the previous fiscal. The highest yearly total ever achieved by the manufacturer was due to consistent demand in both domestic and overseas markets.

The final month of the year played a significant role in pushing these numbers higher as well. In March 2026, total volumes rose to 519,358 units – up from 414,687 units in the same period last year with a 25 per cent year-on-year gain. Two-wheelers remained the cornerstone of its business and monthly sales in this segment climbed to 498,134 units.

In the same period a year earlier, 400,120 units were recorded. Within India, two-wheeler volumes grew at the same pace – increasing to 372,383 units compared to 297,622 units previously. The motorcycle sales expanded by 18 per cent to reach 232,788 units while scooters delivered a 31 per cent jump – ending the month at 217,624 units.

The good reception for the expansive Apache range and models like the Raider has been well documented in recent years. The Hosur-based brand’s EV volumes moved up significantly – rising 44 per cent year-on-year to 38,877 units due to iQube and Orbiter as it comfortably leads the zero-emission two-wheeler space. The overseas markets also contributed to the growth story with total international volumes increased to 141,443 units from 113,464 units with a 25 per cent rise.

Out of this, two-wheeler exports alone grew to 125,751 units – registering a 23 per cent increase. Three-wheelers emerged as the fastest-growing category during the month. Sales in this segment climbed by 46 per cent – reaching 21,224 units compared to 14,567 units last year. The January to March period turned out to be equally impressive too.

The quarterly volumes stood at 1.6 million units – up from around 1.216 million units in the same quarter of the previous year with a 28 per cent improvement. Within the quarter, two-wheeler sales rose to 1.5 million units while three-wheelers saw a steep rise to 0.60 lakh units – registering a 65 per cent increase.

Its export performance during this period also remained appreciable to 4.22 lakh units. When viewed at the yearly picture, two-wheeler volumes reached 5.67 million units in FY26 while three-wheelers climbed to 2.19 lakh units. The volumes attained due to shipments abroad for the year stood at 15.85 lakh units.
