Next-gen Suzuki Burgman Street could gain multiple updates including cosmetic changes, new features and mechanical revisions

Suzuki has confirmed a new two-wheeler debut for April 2, 2026 and all signs right now point towards a scooter reveal. The teaser image doesn’t spell things out directly but the shape and lighting details make it fairly apparent what direction the company is heading in as the front profile shown in the teaser gives away quite a bit.

There’s a wide apron, a tall stance and a large instrument cluster housing – all typical of a maxi-style scooter. The bigger giveaway, though, is the lighting setup. A split LED headlamp arrangement with integrated DRLs and a centrally placed Suzuki logo suggests a more premium and evolved design which could be of the popular Burgman Street.

The new headlamp design, in particular, appears to take cues from larger global models like the Suzuki Burgman 400 and thus it firmly points towards the second generation Burgman 125 for the Indian market. Despite its good reception amongst consumers, the nameplate has not received any major upgrades since its market launch nearly eight years ago.

In a similar fashion to the latest Access, the next-gen Burgman Street could receive a reworked chassis and internal engine bits but the performance numbers could remain more or less similar while the fuel economy could improve. Apart from the new front design, the scooter could receive revised body panels, a cleaner side profile, redesigned tail lamps and alloy wheels possibly a more modern instrument cluster with connectivity options.

Suzuki hasn’t confirmed exactly what it will unveil though as there is still a slim chance this could be something else like a brand new sporty scooter that could sit above the Avenis. For now, though, the strongest indication is the next generation Burgman. The revised model is expected to carry a slight premium over the outgoing range due to the inclusion of new features and other enhancements.
