Simple Arrive could be capable of a real-world range of over 100 km per charge and it will likely be positioned below the One series
Simple Energy is planning to expand its product strategy with a new electric scooter which expected to be named the Arrive. With test mules seen on public roads, the upcoming model appears to target family-based consumers with good practicality, comfort and spaciousness. The new scooter is likely to take on established offerings such as the Ather Rizta, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.
All three of them are currently ruling the sales charts with the iQube regularly recording highest monthly volumes ahead of Chetak and Rizta and Simple Energy could look to tap into that very segment by aiming at high volume numbers. Unlike the sharp and aggressive styling seen on the Simple One, the Arrive gets a more neutral and approachable design.
The bodywork looks simpler and more functional with clean surfaces. The feature set, however, looks to retain a modern philosophy. It will likely come equipped with a TFT display and a small storage cubby. Lighting elements include an apron-mounted LED headlamp with a compact windscreen on top while the rear gets a slim LED tail lamp strip similar to the Orbiter.

The Arrive is expected to use twin rear shock absorbers and a braking combination of a front disc and rear drum at least in its top-spec trim. It also gets a flat and single-piece seat that looks long and wide while the grab rails look a bit narrow. The Bengaluru-based brand currently sells the second generation One for a price tag of Rs. 1.74 lakh and Rs. 1.83 lakh (both, ex-showroom).
They are for 4.5 kWh and 5 kWh battery packs respectively. In addition, the OneS and and Ultra are other models on offer. The camouflaged test prototype also confirmed that it will run on 12-inch black alloy wheels at the front and rear and the rider sat upright. The Simple Arrive could feature a 3.7 kWh borrowed from the One S and a smaller battery pack as it could be competitively priced.

The floor region also looks flat with enough space to carry everyday usable items and the boot could be capable of holding two half face helmets considering the target audience for the scooter. We do expect it to go on sale in the second half of this calendar year.
