2026 Skoda Kushaq will be offered in five trims: Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo in India

The updated Skoda Kushaq will soon enter the spotlight with its official price announcement scheduled for March 21, 2026. Expected to be priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 19.5 lakh (ex-showroom), the SUV will be offered in five trims: Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. Pre-bookings are already underway with customer deliveries likely to commence shortly after the price reveal.

Under the hood, the Kushaq facelift continues with the familiar turbo petrol lineup. The 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI engines remain unchanged in terms of output but the transmission options have been updated. Consumers can choose between a six-speed manual, a newly introduced eight-speed torque converter automatic for the smaller engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Additionally, the 1.5-litre engine now benefits from rear disc brakes for improved stopping power.

As for safety, six airbags are offered as standard across all variants. Other key features include a rear parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror. However, the absence of a 360-degree camera and an ADAS suite may stand out especially as several rivals now offer these technologies.

Inside the cabin, the facelift brings a noticeable upgrade in terms of features. Higher trims such as Prestige and Monte Carlo get a larger digital instrument cluster and an updated touchscreen infotainment system with integrated Google-based assistant. Customers also get ventilated and power-adjustable front seats, a panoramic sunroof and an enhanced audio system with a subwoofer.

A key addition is the segment-first rear seat massage function. The Monte Carlo variant continues to emphasise a sportier identity with blacked-out styling elements, red accents, and exclusive badging while the Prestige trim focuses on a more premium look with chrome detailing and lighter cabin themes.

On the outside, the Kushaq facelift gains a sharper design language. The front fascia features redesigned headlamps with new LED daytime running lights connected by segmented illumination strips. A revised grille and updated bumper with angular metallic accents can also be found. The rear profile has also been refreshed with split LED tail lamps and illuminated branding across the tailgate.

Manufacturing of the updated SUV has already begun at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s Chakan facility near Pune and it continues to be underpinned by the localised MQB A0 IN platform. It will continue to rival key players such as the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, etc in the midsize SUV space.
