Mahindra currently sells three INGLO platform based born-electric SUVs in India: the XEV 9e, XEV 9s and BE 6
Mahindra has recorded a major milestone for its born-electric portfolio by delivering more than 600 born-electric SUVs in a single day in India. The achievement comes at a time when festive demand is gathering pace across several regions of the country with occasions such as Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Navreh and Navratri helping drive showroom activity. The delivery count shows the growing reception for Mahindra’s born EV range which already includes the XEV 9e, BE 6 and the three-row XEV 9s.
The brand’s purpose-built EVs, developed on the INGLO skateboard platform, together crossed 41,000 units in cumulative sales within just 10 months. Among the new additions is the Mahindra XEV 9S which was introduced in late November 2025. Positioned as a three-row electric SUV, it is offered with 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack choices.
The model is available in several variants including Pack One Above, Pack Two Above, Pack Three Above and Pack Three Above+. Customers can choose from six exterior finishes: Everest White, Ruby Velvet, Stealth Black, Desert Myst, Nebula Blue and Midnight Black. It is longer than the XEV 9e and also carries a longer wheelbase.

With the third-row seats folded, boot volume stands at 527 litres while the frunk offers 150 litres of additional storage. Prices start at Rs. 19.95 lakh and extend up to Rs. 29.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Claimed MIDC driving range varies from 521 km to 679 km depending on the version while real-world range is said to go up to around 500 km.
The Mahindra XEV 9e, meanwhile, appeals more toward consumers looking for a premium electric coupe-SUV. Also underpinned by the INGLO architecture, it is offered with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. The smaller battery version develops 231 hp while the larger one produces 286 hp with both delivering 380 Nm of torque. Mahindra claims a MIDC range of 542 km for the 59 kWh variant and up to 656 km for the 79 kWh version.

A 0-100 kmph sprint time of 6.8 seconds is also quoted. On the inside, the XEV 9e boasts a triple 12.3-inch display arrangement and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. It also scores high on practicality with a 663-litre boot, a 150-litre front trunk and 207 mm of unladen ground clearance. The BE 6 takes a sportier approach and is positioned as a more driver-focused electric SUV.
It uses the same INGLO architecture and is available with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs as well. Mahindra claims a maximum MIDC range of 682 km with the larger battery. Both versions produce 380 Nm and the BE 6 can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 202 kmph. It also supports 175 kW DC fast charging – allowing the battery to charge from 20 to 80 per cent in just 20 minutes just like the XEV 9e.
