The total sales of Nissan stood at 10,388 units in March 2026 as it posted its highest monthly domestic performance in the last five years

Nissan Motor India registered total sales of 10,388 units in the month of March 2026 courtesy of high domestic demand and consistent export volumes. The major talking point for the month was domestic wholesale which stood at 4,408 units – the highest monthly domestic performance in the last five years for the Japanese auto major which is currently on a revival phase.

The figure also denotes a massive 98 per cent growth on a MoM basis compared to February 2026. Exports continued to play an important role in the brand’s overall numbers as it is the third largest in this category that ships products abroad behind Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. Nissan shipped 5,980 units to international markets in March – contributing more than half of its total monthly sales.

The surge in domestic sales has largely been due to the introduction of the all-new Nissan Gravite which is based on the same localised architecture as the Renault Triber. Customer deliveries of the SUV began last month and the model has already generated buzz among consumers. Alongside the compact MPV, the Nissan Magnite continues to remain a consistent performer.
