New Hyundai Venue has been given full five marks by Bharat NCAP organisation as it posted appreciable results in both AOP and COP tests
The Hyundai Venue received a brand new generation a few months ago and it has been subjected to crash test assessments by Bharat NCAP. The compact SUV posted an appreciable result by securing 31.15 out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection and 44.46 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection – placing it among the safest cars in the competitive sub-four-metre SUV segment.
In terms of adult safety, the Venue delivered a near-perfect showing across both major crash scenarios. It scored 15.15 out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test with stable structural performance and effective energy absorption. In the side movable deformable barrier test, it achieved a full 16 out of 16 while the side pole impact test was rated acceptable.
The child occupant protection results are noteworthy indeed. The SUV managed 23.46 out of 24 in dynamic crash testing using child restraint systems and achieved a perfect 12 out of 12 in CRS installation assessment. The remaining points came from the vehicle assessment category where it scored 9 out of 13 – bringing the total to 44.46 out of 49.

Looking at the safety equipment, the Venue comes well equipped as standard. It features dual front airbags, side curtain airbags and side chest airbags along with electronic stability control, pedestrian protection systems and seat belt reminders offered across all variants.
However, a few omissions remain such as knee airbags and side pelvis airbags.
The ISOFIX mounts are limited to the second-row outboard seats only and there is also no integrated child restraint system but a manual airbag cut-off switch is provided for added flexibility when installing child seats in the front. The tested models included the diesel variants paired with manual and automatic transmissions with a recorded crash test weight of 1,610 kg.

The rating applies to a wide range of petrol and diesel trims including multiple manual and automatic configurations. The new Hyundai Venue boasts a well-rounded safety package backed by high-standard crash test scores ticking off its strong structural integrity and a comprehensive list of standard features that make it one of the VFM offerings in this particular segment.
