Mercedes-Benz CLA BEV will be offered in two variants – the CLA 250+ Long Range and the CLA 200 Standard Range
The all-electric Mercedes-Benz CLA BEV is officially set to launch in the Indian market on April 24, 2026 with deliveries beginning shortly after in a phased manner. Customers had already been given the opportunity to reserve the model since earlier this month by paying a booking amount of Rs. 1.5 lakh.
Two versions will be offered at launch – the CLA 250+ Long Range and the CLA 200 Standard Range. While the former will start reaching customers toward the end of April, the more affordable Standard Range variant is scheduled to follow a couple of months later around June. In terms of pricing, the entry-level model is expected to be positioned near Rs. 55 lakh whereas the higher-spec Long Range version could be closer to Rs. 59 lakh.
The addition of the CLA 200 Standard Range comes as a direct response to customer demand for a more accessible variant. Despite the difference in battery capacity and range, both trims are expected to come loaded with almost similar levels of equipment. Speaking of range, the two variants appeal to different customer priorities.

The Long Range derivative boasts a claimed driving distance of up to 792 km on a single charge – making it one of the longest range EVs in its class. Meanwhile, the Standard Range version is expected to deliver around 542 km. Underneath, the CLA BEV is built on an advanced 800-volt electrical architecture – enabling ultra-fast charging capabilities.
When plugged into a high-speed 240 kW DC charger, the Long Range model can recover nearly 400 km of driving range in just about 20 minutes. The Standard Range variant, on the other hand, can add approximately 320 km within the same duration. The brand is backing the sedan with its expanding ‘MB.Charge’ public charging ecosystem which already spans more than 9,000 charging points across the country.

Interestingly, early customers who pre-book the vehicle are set to receive this wall box charger at no additional cost.
