Mahindra sees strong demand for the facelifted version of the XUV 700, especially in the feature-loaded and pricey top trims

Mahindra has announced that the XUV 7XO’s retail sales have reached 20,000 units. The company began delivering the new model on 14 January and has achieved this milestone in just over two and a half months.

The Mahindra XUV 7XO is in strong demand, and like most newly launched cars, it was initially being delivered only in its top trims – AX7, AX7T, and AX7L, priced from Rs. 18.48 lakh (ex-showroom), Rs. 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and Rs. 22.47 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. This month, Mahindra is set to commence deliveries of the low and middle trims – AX, AX3, and AX5, priced from Rs. 13.66 lakh (ex-showroom), Rs. 16.02 lakh (ex-showroom), and Rs. 17.52 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

The aforementioned and all other prices Mahindra announced at the time of launch are applicable for the first 40,000 deliveries. Most of the 20,000 units delivered at introductory prices, if not all, were in the top trims. Initially, almost 70% of the bookings were for the top two trims. Mahindra has confirmed that it will increase the prices of the new three-row SUV once it has delivered the next 20,000 units to customers.
