Mahindra also achieved record-breaking volumes in its main segments – selling 6,60,276 SUVs in total during FY2025-26
Mahindra & Mahindra finished the final month of FY26 with notable volume sales as it recorded total vehicle dispatches of 99,969 units across domestic and export markets with a healthy 21 per cent year-on-year increase. A major contributor to this growth was the utility vehicle segment. The domestic SUV sales reached 60,272 units with a 25 per cent increase compared to the same month last year.
Including exports, total UV volumes stood slightly higher at 62,109 units. Mahindra’s range of commercial vehicles also played a steady supporting role last month. The company reported local sales of 24,928 units in this category – registering an 11 per cent year-on-year improvement.
Looking at exports, Mahindra shipped 3,968 units in March 2026 with a marginal decline of 4 per cent compared to the previous year. However, on a year-to-date basis, exports remained positive – growing 18 per cent to 40,990 units. Mahindra also achieved record-breaking volumes in its main segments – selling 6,60,276 SUVs during FY2025-26.

The volume figures represented a 20 per cent growth. At the same time, LCVs under 3.5 tonnes reached 2,89,597 units – posting a 13 per cent increase year-on-year. Breaking down monthly domestic figures, the utility vehicle segment accounted entirely for passenger vehicle sales at 60,272 units.
Within commercial vehicles, the sub-2 tonne LCV category remained largely stable at 3,526 units while the 2–3.5 tonne segment grew 13 per cent to 21,402 units. Meanwhile, three-wheeler sales surged significantly by 39 per cent to 10,801 units. Mahindra’s consistent expansion in SUVs, stable CV growth and record annual volumes position it in a commendable manner across both domestic and global markets heading into the new financial year.

Speaking on the sales performance, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “The Financial year ended on a very positive note, with Mahindra clocking its highest-ever volumes in both SUVs & LCVs (<3.5T) segments, a significant milestone for the company. In March, we achieved SUV sales of 60,272 units, a growth of 25% and LCV <3.5T sales of 24,928 units, a growth of 11% YoY. Total vehicle sales stood at 99,969 units, a 21% YoY growth”
The arrival of a host of new offerings and updates in recent times including the XUV 7XO and the born electric range comprising a trio of models has helped in upping its sales across different segments this past FY.
