2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift is expected to go on sale in the coming months with a host of revisions inside and out in India

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been one of the consistent performers in the compact SUV segment since its debut building a customer base of over 14 lakh units across its lifetime. To keep the Brezza competitive, Maruti Suzuki is working on a mid-cycle facelift and heavily camouflaged prototypes have been spotted on multiple occasions. Here are the five key takeaways:

1. Design Changes

The exterior revisions on the 2026 Brezza facelift are expected to be subtle. Spy shots point to revised alloy wheel designs, minor updates to body cladding and possible enhancements to the lighting setup. The overall silhouette and dimensions are set to remain unchanged with the SUV continuing its 3,995 mm length, 1,790 mm width, 1,685 mm height, 2,500 mm wheelbase and 198 mm ground clearance.

2. More Premium Interior

The interior is where the more obvious changes are expected. A larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is likely to replace the current 9-inch unit with improved visuals and better connectivity. The Brezza already offers a heads-up display, climate control, sunroof, flat-bottom steering wheel, a 360-degree camera and more, and the facelift is expected to build further on this tech package.

3. Underbody CNG Tank

One of the more practical upgrades in the pipeline is the relocation of the CNG tank from inside the boot to beneath the floor of the vehicle. If this change makes it to production, it would free up a sizeable amount of luggage space in the CNG variant in a similar fashion to the Victoris.

4. Six-Speed MT

The current Brezza is offered with a five-speed manual gearbox and the facelift is expected to replace it with a new six-speed unit. The additional ratio should help with both performance and fuel efficiency across a wider range of driving conditions. The familiar 1.5-litre K15C DualJet petrol engine is likely to carry over – continuing to produce around 102 bhp and 137 Nm of torque while the CNG version is expected to retain outputs close to 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm.

5. Launch & Expected Price Details

Multiple rounds of camouflaged prototype sightings suggest that development of the 2026 Brezza facelift is nearing completion. A launch in the coming months appears increasingly likely but Maruti Suzuki is yet to officially confirm a timeline. Pricing is expected to see a marginal increase over the current model’s range which starts at around Rs 8.34 lakh ex-showroom.
