Kia recorded 29,112 units in March 2026 as against 25,525 units with a healthy 14 per cent year-on-year growth
Kia India garnered total sales of 29,112 units last month by registering a healthy 14 per cent year-on-year growth over 25,525 units sold in March 2025. On a month-on-month basis too, the brand witnessed a 5 per cent increase compared to 27,610 units endured during the previous month. The performance was largely due to the good reception for the Sonet and Seltos.
At the top of the charts was the Sonet which emerged as the best-seller for the month. It recorded 12,012 units in March 2026 with a notable 56 per cent growth compared to 7,705 units in the same month last year. On a monthly basis, the Sonet also saw a 23 per cent jump from 9,750 units in February showing its sustained popularity in the highly competitive sub-4m SUV space.
In the second position was the Kia Seltos which contributed 11,041 units in March 2026. The midsize SUV registered a huge 69 per cent year-on-year growth over 6,525 units sold in March 2025. Compared to February 2026’s 10,308 units, the Seltos grew by 7 per cent thanks to the recent arrival of the new generation with multiple upgrades inside and out.

The Carens stayed put delivering consistent volumes but it faced a slight dip on a monthly basis. The MPV recorded 5,933 units in March 2026 – showing an 8 per cent increase over 5,512 units sold in March last year. However, it saw a 13 per cent decline compared to 6,815 units in February 2026 in the domestic market.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Carnival posted significantly lower numbers. The premium MPV managed just 67 units in March 2026 – registering a steep 71 per cent decline compared to 230 units posted during the same period twelve months ago. It also slipped 11 per cent month-on-month from 75 units in February.

The Syros witnessed a massive drop among all models. With just 59 units sold in March 2026, it recorded a massive 99 per cent year-on-year decline from 5,015 units sold during the same period last year. On a monthly basis too, it fell drastically by 91 per cent compared to 662 units in February 2026 as despite being a capable product, its sales numbers are being modest.
Kia’s electric portfolio, comprising the EV6 and EV9, did not register any sales in March 2026. This is in contrast to the 520 units of EV6 and 18 units of EV9 sold in March 2025.
