The three-row SUV segment is waiting to host multiple new launches over the next 12 to 18 months in the domestic market across different price brackets as manufacturers looks to take advantage of the growing popularity for spacious and practical premium offerings. Here we have listed the possible upcoming models:
1. MG Majestor:
The more upmarket iteration of the Gloster, the MG Majestor, was revealed in its production avatar less than a couple of months ago and its reservations are already open for Rs. 41,000. Its prices will be out in the open this month while the customer deliveries are expected in May 2026. It will become the brand’s flagship SUV offering.
2. Next-Gen Toyota Fortuner:
Already spotted testing on foreign soil, the next generation Toyota Fortuner is expected to make its world premiere before the end of this calendar year. It will draw design inspiration from the global crop of Toyota SUVs while the powertrain lineup and platform will be shared with the latest Hilux retailed abroad.

3. Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift:
The facelifted version of the Mahindra Scorpio N will more likely go on sale in the coming months and it will receive notable updates mainly inside the cabin while the exterior could get subtle revisions to stretch the lifespan of the existing generation. The familiar 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines will stay put with manual and AT options.
4. Volkswagen Tayron:
The Tayron R-Line fully-loaded version is already on sale in India while the regular version of the seven-seater is speculated to hit showrooms in the near future. It could be locally assembled as well to keep the prices slightly down while the commonly used 2.0L TSI petrol mill across the VW Group could be opted in as well.

5. Hyundai Ni1i:
To slot between the Alcazar and now-dIscontinued Tucson, what has been codenamed Ni1i could be sold in six- and seven-seater configurations utilising a brand new design philosophy and a premium interior. The existing 1.5L NA petrol unit found in the Creta could be reengineered with a large battery pack to form a strong hybrid system.
6. Kia Sorento Hybrid:
Caught testing for the first time late last year, the Sorento three-row SUV could be launched in India sometime in 2027. For India though, it could use a strong hybrid petrol engine similar to the Ni1i. Chances are that it could be pitched against Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the likes.
