Combining sport with sustainability, Vida has teamed up with Kolkata Knight Riders to introduce a new campaign for the T20 season. Called ‘6 for 6’, the initiative uses every maximum hit on the cricket field as a trigger to expand the domestic zero-emission charging infrastructure. Instead of being just a branding exercise, the concept directly links match performance to real-world development.

The initiative makes every big shot count as it contributes to the country’s EV ecosystem in a measurable way and it comes at a time when charging access remains a key factor in EV adoption across the country.
Hero MotoCorp’s Vida is already among the frontrunners in this particular space with a widespread presence covering hundreds of cities and thousands of fast charging touchpoints. The new campaign effectively builds on that base – using the popularity of cricket to scale things further. To make the association more visible, specially designed charging stations featuring KKR-inspired colours have begun appearing at prominent locations.

The brand’s fast chargers can top up compatible electric scooters from 0 to 80 per cent in roughly an hour. In addition to urban centres, several units are positioned along key travel routes to help reduce range anxiety during longer journeys. The brand also continues to offer removable battery solutions – enables users the flexibility to charge at home using a standard socket.
Speaking about the initiative, Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Cricket has an incredible ability to unite and inspire millions across the country. Recently, Vida introduced VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition with a different visual theme finished in Knight Purple and Gold similar to Kolkata Knight Riders’ shades. The styling also gets a unique halftone gradient layered over a pearl black base along with micro-dotted detailing along with a trio of accent streaks.
