Production-spec Hero XPulse 420 has been spotted with TFT display, adjustable windscreen, spoke wheels and premium features onboard

Hero MotoCorp’s flagship adventure motorcycle, the XPulse 420 has been caught on camera again revealing several production-ready details hidden beneath the camouflage. The new motorcycle is being developed as a significantly more capable offering than the XPulse 210 and the latest spy images provide view from multiple angles revealing its cockpit, bodywork, seating and cycle parts.

The front portion gets a far more substantial appearance than the current XPulse range. A tall transparent windscreen sits above the headlamp assembly and appears to be manually adjustable through side-mounted brackets. Large handguards should come as standard while the beak-style front mudguard, tall stance and long-travel suspension show its adventure touring intent.

Wire-spoke wheels are visible at both ends and they are wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. The front suspension uses long-travel upside-down forks finished in black while a sizeable front disc brake handles braking duties. A wide tubular handlebar, upright ergonomics and a long single-piece seat should aid in offering long touring capabilities. The fuel tank looks significantly larger than the existing XPulse 210 with extended tank shrouds flowing into the side panels.

Split radiator shrouds and sizeable fairing extensions hint at improved wind protection. The motorcycle also gets a neatly integrated rear luggage rack. One of the biggest highlights lies inside the cockpit. The spy shots also reveal a fully digital TFT instrument console mounted behind the windscreen. It is expected to support smartphone connectivity, navigation, ride information and multiple menus.

The switchgear appears new as well while the handlebar layout leaves enough space for accessory mounts. The left side of the engine shows a new casing carrying Hero branding. The engine is widely expected to displace around 420 cc coupled with a six-speed gearbox and slipper and assist clutch. Power output is expected to be around 40 PS – placing the motorcycle directly against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure and more.

The rear section carries a slim LED tail lamp, high-mounted grab rails and a compact registration plate holder. Ground clearance appears generous too while the underbody is protected by a metal bash plate. Hero has steadily expanded its premium motorcycle portfolio over the last two years, and the XPulse 420 is expected to become its flagship offering upon launch later this year. Features like traction control, multiple ride modes, adjustable levers and dual-channel ABS will also be available.
