Skoda Kodiaq RS gets a 265 hp 2.0 TSI engine, 4×4 configuration, 7-seat cabin, 20-inch wheels, DCC Plus, 9 airbags and ADAS tech amongst others
Skoda Auto India has revealed the full specification sheet of the Kodiaq RS ahead of its price announcement in the coming weeks. The sportier three-row SUV will sit above the L&K variant and will be brought in limited numbers. Bookings have already opened for a token amount of Rs. 3 lakh and the allocation for India is restricted to 50 units.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Engine, Performance & Mechanicals
The Kodiaq RS uses a 1,984 cc four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The TSI unit develops 265 hp between 5,000 rpm and 6,500 rpm while the peak torque output stands at 400 Nm from 1,650 rpm to 4,350 rpm. Power is sent through a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission while a 4×4 system comes as standard.
Acceleration and top speed details are in line with the international Kodiaq RS. The SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited to 231 kmph. The India-spec model also gets Progressive Steering and Dynamic Chassis Control Plus paired to drive mode selection. The chassis setup includes McPherson suspension at the front using lower triangular links and a torsion stabiliser.

The rear axle uses a multi-element layout along with longitudinal and transverse links and a torsion stabiliser. Disc brakes are offered at both ends and the SUV rides on 20-inch Elias alloy wheels, sized 8J x R20 and gets 235/45 R20 tyres. The spare wheel is an 18-inch steel space-saver unit carrying a 145/85 R18 tyre.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Dimensions
The Kodiaq RS measures 4,761 mm in length, 1,864 mm in width and 1,682 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2,789 mm while ground clearance is rated at 194 mm at kerb weight. The SUV has a seven-seat layout and a 58-litre fuel tank. Meanwhile, the boot space is rated at 281 litres, 786 litres and 1,976 litres depending on the seat configuration. The kerb weight is 1,902 kg while gross weight is listed at 2,500 kg. Compared to the regular model, it gets a host of cosmetic changes.

Skoda Kodiaq RS Exterior Design
The exterior package gets RS front and rear bumpers, glossy black styling elements, roof rails, glossy black window framing, a rear spoiler with finlets and a red decorative strip between the rear lights. The RS also receives LED Matrix headlights with Adaptive Front Light System, all-weather lighting and cornering function. The front grille gets a horizontal light strip while the LED rear lights include a welcome effect and dynamic blinkers. Exterior mirrors project the Skoda logo and also get boarding spots.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Interior & Features
The cabin follows the RS theme through black leather upholstery, red contrast stitching, aluminium pedals, scuff plates and a sport three-spoke leather multifunction steering wheel with shift paddles. The 26.03 cm Virtual Cockpit offers multiple layouts while interior ambient mood lighting extends to the dashboard, footwell, front doors and rear doors. A sliding panoramic sunroof is also part of the package.
The Kodiaq RS also gets acoustic front side windows, extra acoustic insulation, three-zone Climatronic AC, front sports seats with ventilation, heating, power adjustment, memory function and thigh support extender. The second row gets sliding and reclining seats, three headrests, a 40:20:40 split-folding backrest and an armrest with two cupholders. Rear side-window sunblinds, front and rear power windows with pinch protection and third-row seats are also available.
Other highlights are steering-column-mounted gear selector, Smart Dials with a customisable centre dial, Kessy advanced keyless entry, an electric tailgate with virtual pedal and a remote folding pull handle in the boot for the second row. The SUV also comes with front and rear parking sensors with Manoeuvre Assist, a 360-degree Area View camera, Intelligent Park Assist, auto-dimming frameless interior mirror and exterior mirrors with memory, heating, auto-dimming, power folding and adjustment.
The infotainment setup uses a new-gen system with a 32.77 cm touchscreen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Canton sound system with 725 W output, 13 speakers and a subwoofer, 15 W ventilated wireless charging for two phones, four 45 W USB-C sockets. The safety package includes nine airbags: two front, one centre, two front side, two rear side and two curtain airbags.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Safety & ADAS
The Kodiaq RS also gains ESC, ABS, EBD, engine drag torque control, traction control, electronic differential lock, hydraulic brake assist, driver steering recommendation, rain brake support, electronic stability braking, multi-collision brake and XDS+. The driver-assistance suite comprises adaptive cruise control, Front Assist with warning and braking reaction, Lane Assist, Side Assist with blind-spot detection, lane-change support, Rear Traffic Alert and Exit Warning System, Advanced Driver Attention and Drowsiness Monitor, etc.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Colours & Expected Price
A long list of accessories are also presented. Skoda will offer the Kodiaq RS in four exterior colours: Steel Grey, Velvet Red, Magic Black and Moon White. Prices are expected to sit above Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
