Here we have explained the 3 new Tata EVs that are all set to arrive within the next 12 months in India

India’s leading electric carmaker, Tata Motors, is looking to bring in new models to its EV portfolio over the next 12 months. With a dominant share of the electric passenger vehicle space already in its favour, the company is now looking to consolidate its position by entering new segments and upgrading existing offerings.

While models like the Tata Harrier EV and the updated Tata Punch EV recently arrived to its lineup, the next set of launches will target a variety of consumers with different requirements. The upcoming trio includes a revamped electric hatchback, a revived SUV nameplate in EV form and a high-end model from an all-new premium range.

At the top of the hierarchy will be the first production-ready model from the Tata Avinya family. Expected to break cover around early 2027, the new offering will sit above Tata’s existing EVs and it will likely showcase a new direction in design and technology. Built on a locally adapted version of JLR’s EMA architecture, it could feature a sleek sportback roofline and luxury-based features.

In the SUV category, the Tata Sierra EV is one of the highly anticipated launches and it will arrive in the second quarter of this year. Positioned above the Tata Curvv EV, it will likely be offered with multiple battery options including 55 kWh and 65 kWh packs with the possibility of a larger 75 kWh dual-motor version. A real-world driving range of around 500 km is a highly likely along with fast charging capability and bi-directional charging.

Test mules indicate a redesigned exterior featuring sharper LED headlamps, updated bumpers and new aerodynamic wheels. The presence of larger mirrors suggests that features like a 360-degree camera could be introduced.

The interior of the updated hatchback is also expected to see big upgrades including better material quality, a bigger infotainment display, a fully digital instrument cluster and enhanced connected tech. There are also indications that it may adopt the 30 kWh battery pack from the Punch EV – potentially offering improved driving range.
